FAQ’s
Is IV Therapy safe?
All of our vitamins go through high levels of testing. All IVs are administered by a registered nurse and performed under a medical director. Before a client receives IV therapy, their health history is evaluated. Side effects from an IV drip are generally non-existent or very mild. On occasion, you may experience some discomfort, bruising, itching, inflammation, or redness at or around the site of injection, and this could last from a few minutes to several days. However, true allergic reactions are extremely rare.
How long will it take?
The whole process for an individual will take 30-45 minutes to complete. There are a few forms to complete prior to your infusion as well as a quick medical assessment.
Are there any side effects?
Iv Therapy is an extremely safe alternative to improving your health. Though rare, some patients report having mild symptoms that include:
Headache, general unwellness, diarrhea or constipation, sinus congestion, flu-like symptoms or body aches. The reason for this usually is because the body may be storing toxins in the cells that are now being released into the blood to be excreted through urine, feces and/or sweat.
If the symptoms persist or worsen or if you experience extreme itching of the skin or shortness of breath, please contact your healthcare provider immediately.
Does insurance cover vitamin infusions?
Unfortunately, insurance does not cover vitamin infusions, but we do accept HSA/FSA. Please check with your HSA/FSA carrier to ensure coverage.
Can I get an IV if I am pregnant and/or breastfeeding?
Usually. We kindly ask for an order from your OB to provide our services.
Do you have an age requirement to receive IV therapy?
Currently, we are serving patients 18 years to 75 years old.
Is drinking water the same as getting an IV?
Staying hydrated by drinking water is crucial to daily overall health. The difference between drinking water and receiving IV hydration is the fact that we are bypassing the digestive system. Many nutrients, when ingested, get broken down and don’t make it to the small intestine for reabsorption into your system. IV hydration bypasses that issue and goes straight into your bloodstream for 100% absorption and benefit!
Is there anything I can do after my appointment to help the effects of my IV therapy? (Post IV Instructions)
Avoid alcohol for a while to allow your liver to recover from the toxin load from your cells
Drinks lots of water to flush things out If you have diarrhea like symptoms,
do not take anti-diarrheal but let the body dispose of as much poo as it needs to
If you have constipation type symptoms, take high dose oral vitamin C and magnesium which can cause loose motion (a good thing here)
Take a magnesium salt bath. The magnesium can help draw out more toxins from your skin, speeding up the process of toxin extraction.
If you are familiar with intermittent fasting, it’s a good thing to try to let your digestive system take a break.
Alternatively, consider going on a bone broth day. The fat and protein in the broth should keep you satiated.
If you would like to do a juice fast instead, include lots of vegetables in it as a fruit-only juice can make you feel worse (due to its effect on insulin). Add some coconut oil to it to slow down absorption of glucose.
Keep going with the IV Nutrient Therapy. It is a great way to rid your body of stored toxins and repair your cells to maintain a healthier you!
How often should I get an IV?
The frequency of IV therapy is determined on a patient-by-patient basis. We take a customized approach to suit your individual needs. For preventative health and wellness, we recommend two IV drips per month to help balance out any vitamin deficiencies.
Can I get a group discount?
